As a Brand Manager, you will report to a Marketing Manager or Marketing Director.
You will lead the development and execution of the brand(s) in your portfolio by understanding, anticipating, creating, and meeting consumer needs.
This involves leveraging consumer and shopper insights to craft brands that consumers love, and executing compelling brand plans delivered through innovation, communication, and activation.
On a daily basis, this includes articulating and delivering the full marketing mix for your brand, working with the Marketing centres of excellence to optimise pricing, promotions, product innovation, packaging, and marketing mix.
Responsibilities:
- Translate marketing insights and analysis of key issues into clear & compelling Brand Plans, detailing execution of Category Strategy, Pricing & Channel Strategy, Promotions Plan, and Innovation Plan to deliver growth.
- Track and monitor brand performance against financial targets and plans.
- Identify, develop, and track insight-driven innovation and renovation to enhance the brand and category, including product & packaging solutions, trade solutions, and communication strategies.
- Partner with the Consumer Insights team to generate relevant insights from various sources including market analytics, competitive intelligence, and consumer behavior trends.
- Lead the creative agency in developing the Communication Strategy for your brand(s), culminating in campaign sign-offs and judging of campaigns vs the brand blueprint.
- Set pricing targets based on brand positioning and insights, leveraging guidelines from Revenue Management.
- Ensure execution of key brand management tasks such as S&OP forecasting, media planning, promotion tracking, marketing spend management, brand health and share monitoring, and range management.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of brand and marketing experience with a proven track record of delivering marketing excellence and brand growth.
- BBusSc / BCom degree preferred.
- Successful experience in brand development and Idea to Market strategies.
- Ability to develop innovative consumer goods propositions based on rich consumer insights.
