Job Title: Brand Manager (Internal job title: Snr Associate, Customer Marketing)

Location: Midrand, South Africa

OVERVIEW

About the role: Reporting into the Customer Marketing Manager for Africa Cluster, you will play a key role in developing the Customer Marketing strategy for the assigned categories. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain Teams, conducting deep analyses of market, customer, and shopper dynamics, and translating insights into actionable plans across channels.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of Category Development Strategy to achieve business objectives, including in-store strategy, BTL communication, price architecture, category assortment, planograms, and consumer promotions.
  • Manage market execution of new launches, define quarterly priorities, and cascade plans to the field and distributor teams.
  • Maintain cross-functional relations with key stakeholders: Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain.
  • Oversee budget management and trade initiatives.
  • Manage shopper/channel initiatives and investments.
  • Utilize Nielsen reports monthly to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop promotional packs and performance trackers for sales, share, and distribution.
  • Participate actively in the S&OP process to align marketing plans with market execution and sales.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 3-4 years of FMCG experience, with at least 2 years in customer/trade marketing.
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal).
  • Understanding of FMCG dynamics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Nielsen data analysis.
