BRAND MANAGER – LOCATION BASED: EAST LONDON (PREFERRED) / CAPE TOWN or PRETORIA
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- A Master's degree in a similar field may be preferred.
- Proven experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies, media channels, and branding.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certification such as Certified Brand Manager (CBM) or similar may enhance a candidate's qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement brand strategies aligned with the business's overall goals.
- Conduct research and analysis to maintain an in-depth understanding of the market, competitors, and consumer trends.
- Manage the development and execution of marketing campaigns to bolster brand awareness and loyalty.
- Oversee the production of advertisements, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with different departments, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure a cohesive and effective market presence.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed strategic decisions.
- Manage budgets, ensuring all branding activities are within allocated financial plans.
- Monitor and report on brand performance and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Work closely with external agencies including advertising and research firms to enhance the brand's marketing efforts.
Additional Tasks and Duties
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across all platforms, aligning with the company's standards and regulatory requirements.
- Execute marketing initiatives in conjunction with sales objectives and campaigns.
- Coordinate market launches of new products or services along with planned marketing strategies.
- Review metrics such as sales volume, market share, profit projections, pricing, and distribution to develop strategic plans.
- Handle the brand's public relations and oversee communication on platforms including social media.
