Job summary

Yuppiechef, a famed South African brand, is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to shape the future of our brand and drive sustainable growth. You will lead Brand, Creative, Ecommerce Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Visual Merchandising, while partnering with the Executive Team to deliver integrated campaigns and strong ROI.

You'll champion innovation, customer insight, and creative excellence, building and mentoring a high-performing marketing team across digital and retail channels.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in marketing or related field required.
• 8–10 years of marketing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record leading integrated marketing strategies across digital and retail.
• Strong knowledge of ecommerce, omnichannel marketing, and brand development.
• Experience managing creative teams and agency partnerships.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical and financial acumen.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder skills.
• Passion for innovation and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term marketing and brand strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Lead Ecommerce and Digital Marketing strategy to drive online growth and customer acquisition.
• Build impactful, customer-centric campaigns across digital, retail, social, and other channels.
• Drive brand positioning and ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
• Lead the Creative Studio, including copy, design, photography, and content production.
• Oversee Visual Merchandising to create engaging in-store experiences.
• Analyse customer insights, market trends, and performance data to inform strategy.
• Manage the annual marketing budget and ensure strong ROI.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Operations, Ecommerce, and Retail teams on campaigns.
• Present marketing performance and strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Inspire, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary marketing team.
