Job summary

Placements24 is seeking energetic Brand Ambassadors to represent FMCG brands at events and retail locations around Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will engage directly with consumers, demonstrate products, and drive trial and purchases while maintaining positive brand messaging.

The role is field-based with flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Prior promo or customer service experience is advantageous, and reliable transportation to the Nelspruit area is required.

About the Role

Our client, a vibrant and expanding company in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking enthusiastic and energetic Brand Ambassadors to represent their products at various events and retail locations. This exciting role is focused on engaging directly with consumers, generating excitement around our client's brands, and driving trial and purchase. Based in and around Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA , you will be the face of the brand, interacting with the public in a positive and informative manner. The ideal candidate is outgoing, passionate about consumer products, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This contractor role requires flexibility and a proactive approach to representing the brand effectively in different settings. Key Responsibilities

• Represent the brand positively and professionally at promotional events, in-store activations, and consumer outreach activities within the Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA region.
• Engage with consumers, providing information about product features, benefits, and promotions for FMCG products.
• Conduct product demonstrations, sampling, and taste tests to encourage consumer trial.
• Generate excitement and build brand loyalty through positive and memorable consumer interactions.
• Collect consumer feedback and insights, reporting key observations to the marketing team.
• Distribute promotional materials and samples as directed.
• Ensure brand messaging and presentation standards are consistently maintained during all activations.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the product portfolio and competitive landscape.

Requirements

• Previous experience in brand ambassadorship, promotions, sales, or customer service is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
• Outgoing, energetic, and approachable personality.
• Passion for the FMCG industry and consumer products.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as event schedules require.

• Must be based in or have reliable transportation to the Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA area.
