Brand Activation Manager

This position reports to the Head of Marketing SA and SSA and is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

What you will do

The Brand Activation Manager is responsible for executing a global strategic plan for Nicorette across all touchpoints, from consumer to healthcare professional (HCP) plans, while also managing all contribute brands within Selfcare. These include, but are not limited to, Expectalin, Sudafed, Sinumax, Dr Mom, Vermox, Imodium, Daktarin, Motilium, and new brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Custodian for Nicorette brand: managing day-to-day responsibilities including forecasting, shopper, and consumer activations, with full P&L responsibility—NTS, GM, forecasting, distribution, shopper activities, and consumer-facing activities.
  • Lead HCP execution on Nicorette: implement the global playbook, guide how Nicorette-specific activities are managed and executed with the HCP team.
  • Shape and develop a market-leading marketing agenda for Nicorette & HCPs: generate insights, develop HCP-centric plans and content, translate insights into strategies, and execute marketing and communication plans.
  • Develop influencer/KOL strategies: collaborate with external partners, develop and manage KOL relationships, understand the patient journey, and develop omnichannel influencer programs.
  • Build and execute HCP marketing plans in SA: position brands as partners of choice, develop omni-channel professional marketing plans, manage sample distribution, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance: support and adhere to organizational duties of care, pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and medical information standards.
  • Manage Self Care contribute brands: monitor distribution, forecast, and optimize tactical opportunities for brands like Expectalin, Dr. Mom, Sudafed, Sinumax, Vermox, Daktarin, Imodium, and Motilium.
  • Lead self-care special projects and activation initiatives.
Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • Undergraduate qualification—Diploma/Degree.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience in Pharmaceutical or Health & Beauty sectors.
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder mapping, influencer marketing, and omni-channel experience is advantageous.
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Proven project management and execution abilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to create structure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and cross-functional working experience.
  • Background in pharmaceutical or biosciences is a plus.
