Job description

We are seeking suitably qualified Branch Managers to oversee all branch operations and ensure alignment to the organisational business goals.

We require a tough-minded individual who deals with stress and negative feedback effectively and who is able to handle pressure from staff, management, and customers, as well as meet business targets.

The ideal candidate needs to take ownership and lead a profitable, sustainable business unit, contributing to the overall success of the organisation. They will oversee and control all operational aspects within the branch to ensure profit and growth.

Ideal candidates would have solid experience in branch and employee management. They will communicate and drive the daily operations of the branch in line with company goals. The position is responsible for the independent operations of a branch, managing people matters, customer concerns, and maintaining organisational excellence.

Requirements :

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A Matric / Grade 12 educational qualification.
  • Business-related tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years retail management experience, preferably in furniture retail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Management abilities – manage, lead, motivate, develop, and empower branch staff.

The role will include:

  • Managing, leading, motivating, developing, and empowering branch employees to retain a stable team delivering on business goals.
  • Implementing the organization’s business model, managing targets and operations to maintain a healthy, profitable business.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service in the branch by actively participating during customer contact situations, maintaining healthy customer relationships.
  • Managing and controlling financial responsibilities to stay within company norms and managing business risks.
  • Increasing sales through good customer service and stock management.
  • Minimizing stock loss by complying with security measures, stock, and cash handling procedures.
  • Driving a low-cost business according to company standards by controlling financial areas of responsibility.
  • Ensuring administrative duties within the store comply with company guidelines (NCA & FAIS).
  • Guiding, managing, and verifying operations within the branch to ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations.
  • People management through training, mentoring, coaching, and team management.
