Required Experience: 8 years in Bookkeeping, Payroll, Tax, and Provident Fund Management

About Us:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full bookkeeping function for multiple companies across various industries, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Process and oversee payroll for a diverse clientele, including companies with up to 1200 employees, on a fortnightly, monthly, and weekly pay basis.
  • Utilize Pastel accounting software to maintain financial records, generate reports, and reconcile accounts.
  • Expertly navigate Pastel Payroll for efficient and accurate payroll processing on varying pay schedules.
  • Handle tax return preparations and submissions for client companies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Administer provident funds, including contributions, withdrawals, and reporting, in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather financial information and provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations, payroll legislation, provident fund rules, and industry-specific requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant diploma / Certificate in Bookkeeping will be advantageous
  • Certificate in Pastel will be advantageous

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of comprehensive Bookkeeping and Payroll experience.
  • Proven experience in handling the books and payroll for multiple companies simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Pastel accounting and Pastel Payroll is non-negotiable.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, payroll processes, tax regulations, and provident fund management.
  • Experience managing payroll for a significant number of employees (up to 1200) on fortnightly, monthly, and weekly pay schedules.
  • Familiarity with tax return preparation and submission processes.
  • Exposure to provident fund administration and reporting.
  • Own transportation is essential for onsite client visits.
  • Preferably possess a qualification or certificate in Pastel accounting.
