Sasso Consulting (Pty) Ltd in Pinetown is seeking a Bookkeeper to own the bookkeeping for two related entities—a trading and a manufacturing business. The role is office-based and hands-on, focusing on day-to-day financial processes and handling confidential information.

You will supervise a junior finance assistant, work with Sage Pastel, PaySpace and SARS eFiling, manage bank reconciliations and payroll, and ensure accurate records as the businesses grow.

Qualifications

• Recent, dedicated bookkeeping experience.
• Ability to manage the bookkeeping function with minimal supervision.
• Practical experience with Sage Pastel, PaySpace and SARS eFiling.
• Experience with banking processes, payroll and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for both companies.
• Work with company bank accounts, reconciliations and payment loading.
• Manage payroll using PaySpace.
• Complete SARS submissions through eFiling.
• Maintain financial records and process transactions on Sage Pastel.
• Oversee routine debtors, creditors and related bookkeeping processes.
• Review work completed by the junior finance team member and provide guidance where needed.
• Keep financial processes organised as the businesses grow.
