Our client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper with experience / interest in the farming industry. This role involves managing day to day financial records, processing month end transactions and assisting with the annual year end close and financial statement preparations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate books, processing transactions, reconciling accounts and all related supporting financial reporting.
Key responsibilities:
Bookkeeping - run all bookkeeping on Pastel
Preparation of debtors, creditors, bank statements, cashbook up to trial balance
Monthly SARS Vat submissions
Month end - prepare and reconcile creditor accounts for payment
Reconcile and manage debtor accounts
Reconcile all bank statements
Year end - support to the compiler of the annual financial statements
Assistance with submission of annual financial statements to auditors
Collate stocks on hand, livestock numbers, tax certificates
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper / strong understanding of accounting principles
Proficient in accounting software
Proficient in MS Excel
Relevant degree / diploma beneficial
Incumbent would need to reside in Howick / surrounding region. Own transport essential.
