Our client based in Westville is looking for a candidate with extensive Sage Accpac (accounting) and Sage 200 People experience to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Data Capturing & Filing :
- Capturing all invoices onto the approved accounting system.
- Capturing payroll data onto the approved payroll system.
- Maintaining an efficient filing system for all records, archived according to company standards and statutory requirements, including POPI / PAIA act compliance.
2. Payroll :
- Managing, processing, calculating, and paying monthly payroll data, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Handling queries related to payroll processes.
- Reconciliations of provident, medical aid funds, SARS PAYE, UIF, SDL, garnishee orders, and other statutory deductions.
- Reporting and filing WRA or IOD, liaising with relevant bodies within legal timelines.
- Maintaining communication with bargaining councils, legal bodies, and statistic agencies, providing required information.
- Keeping employee files and leave records accurate and up-to-date, in liaison with HR if applicable, ensuring POPI / PAIA compliance.
3. Accounting :
- Bank statement reconciliations for cash, EFT, debtors deposits, and payments.
- Capturing and processing accounting data on approved systems.
- Reconciling creditor statements and processing payments within due dates.
- Managing creditor payments and expenses, ensuring proper procedures.
- Completing month-end procedures and submitting statements on time.
- Managing VAT201 and EMP201 reconciliations, filings, and payments to SARS.
- Assisting with year-end audit documentation.
- Handling credit applications documentation.
- Managing financial queries and liaising with relevant managers.
- Controlling site change float and petty cash, reporting discrepancies.
- Managing the accounting office and related matters.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject.
- Bookkeeping diploma is an advantage.
- At least three years of similar experience.
- At least two years experience with Sage Accpac and Sage 300 People.
