Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities.

AltGen is looking for a capable, detail-driven finance professional to join our internal accounts team in Stellenbosch.

This role has been created to add depth, capacity and structure to our internal finance function as the business continues to grow. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and operational finance across multiple AltGen businesses, including recruitment, workforce management and employer-of-record services.

This is a hands‑on finance role, but it is not basic admin. The right person will be comfortable working across reconciliations, suppliers, payments, payroll support, cost tracking and month‑end processes, while helping us improve the way our finance systems and workflows operate.

We are looking for someone with an AI‑native mindset. You do not need to be an AI specialist, but you should be open to using AI platforms to reduce repetitive admin, improve data accuracy, support reconciliations, strengthen Excel workflows and help build a more efficient finance function.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Bank reconciliations across multiple entities
• Uploading supplier slips and expense documentation on Sage and internal systems
• Collating month‑end payments for approval
• Supplier invoice reconciliations against signed agreements and Sage records
• Supporting payroll administration for South African entities
• Monitoring supplier costs across marketing, recruitment and operational expenses
• Assisting with financial tracking, cost analysis and operational finance controls
• Supporting Discovery Medical and GAP cover reconciliations
• Fuel reconciliations, vehicle logs and related fleet administration
• Helping improve finance processes, controls, data accuracy and reporting

We are looking for someone who is accurate, organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑paced internal finance environment. You should enjoy getting the details right, following up where needed, and taking ownership of work until it is properly completed.
