Job summary

Hire Resolve's client in the energy or engineering industry is seeking a Bookkeeper to join the team in Somerset West, South Africa. The role requires bookkeeping experience and a solid grasp of financial processes within the sector.

The successful candidate will manage records, produce reports, and support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax preparation in a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the energy or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Assist with budget planning and financial forecasting.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist with audits and tax preparation.
