Job description

Minimum Requirements

  1. The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years experience in terms of performing the functions and responsibilities of an accountant, including working with team members to optimally achieve the Company’s objectives and targets.
  2. Matric or equivalent NQF level of education.
  3. A Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Financial Accounting would be advantageous.
  4. Valid driving license code 08.

Responsibilities

  1. Profit and loss account.
  2. Income and expenditure accounts.
  3. Asset and Liabilities.
  4. Maintaining an asset register.
  5. Account administration, e.g., account receivables, invoicing, payment allocations.
  6. Monthly budget planning and reporting.
  7. Compiling accurate management reports.
  8. Compiling accurate monthly trial balance and balance sheets.
  9. Analysing management reports and financial statements.
  10. Stock control management.
  11. Processing orders and stock movements on the accounting system.
  12. Managing the payroll system.
  13. Cash forecasts and cashflow management.
  14. Liaison with SARS.
  15. General administration.
  16. Calculating of the Company’s tax and VAT portfolio, including the calculation of PAYE figures.
  17. Monitoring inventory levels.
  18. Assisting with monthly consolidations of financial results.
  19. Assisting with year-end preparation for audit schedules.
  20. Reporting to the relevant stakeholders regarding operational functioning and feedback.
