Job description

Our client is an International company with Head office in Berlin Germany. They are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their Cape Town based finance team. They require strong experience in managing debtors and creditors , as well as preparing accurate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume environment within an international organisation. Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and reconcile accounts receivable (debtors) and accounts payable (creditors)
  • Ensure timely invoicing, payment follow-ups, and processing of supplier invoices
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports including :
  • Income Statement, Balance Sheet,Cash Flow Statement
  • Process high volumes of transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Support the finance team with audits and other ad-hoc tasks as needed

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role
  • A certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of debtors and creditors processes and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, Sage, or similar) and minimum of intermediate Excel proficiency
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a high transaction volume environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
