Job Description

Our client, a market leader in the visual production and manufacturing sector, is looking to hire a Bookkeeper based in Empangeni.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately accounting for the business's financial transactions and providing useful and accurate reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Produce accurate management accounts including:

  • Cashbook
  • Invoicing
  • Debtors control
  • Supplier and creditor control
  • Control and recording of all petty cash
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Balance sheet management, including depreciation, asset registers, and loan accounts
  • Other administrative and bookkeeping duties as required, including journals

Administer payroll, HR contracts, and disciplinary inquiries, including:

  • Processing pay runs
  • Ensuring all employees have up-to-date employment contracts
  • Assisting with disciplinary inquiries as needed

Ensure compliance with SARS, WCA, and other legal requirements, including:

  • Preparing and submitting payments to SARS and WCA
  • Completing all required SARS and legal returns such as E-filing (Emp 201, Emp 501, WCA returns, BBEE)
  • Managing audits
  • Ensuring all assets are correctly insured
  • Facilitating insurance claims and queries
  • Keeping vehicle licenses up to date

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Willingness to work one Saturday per month
