Job Description

Our client, a market leader in the visual production and manufacturing sector, is looking to hire a Bookkeeper, based in Empangeni.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately accounting for the business's financial transactions and providing useful and accurate reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Produce accurate Management Accounts including:
  • Cashbook
  • Invoicing
  • Debtors control
  • Supplier and Creditor Control
  • Control and recording of all Petty Cash
  • Cashflow Forecasting
  • Balance Sheet - including depreciation and asset registers kept up to date, as well as loan accounts
  • Any other administrative and bookkeeping duties that may be required from time to time including journals
  • Accurate administration of the payroll, HR contracts, and disciplinary enquiries including:
    • Processing the pay run
    • Ensuring that all employees have up-to-date employment contracts
    • Assisting with disciplinary enquiries as necessary
  • SARS, WCA, and other legal requirements:
    • Prepare and load all payments to SARS and WCA
    • Complete all SARS and other legal returns that are required such as Emp 201, Emp 501, WCA returns, and BBEE
    • Manage any required audits
    • Ensure that all assets are correctly insured at all times
    • Facilitate any queries and insurance claims
    • Keep all car licenses up to date
    Minimum Requirements:
    • Matric
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Must be prepared and able to work one Saturday per month
