Job summary

A property management company in Knysna, Western Cape, is seeking an organized individual for an entry-level finance role. Responsibilities include overseeing accounts, processing payroll, and producing financial reports. Qualifications

  • Matric with Accounting/Math required.
  • Bookkeeping/accounting certificate or diploma required.
  • 1–2 years experience in bookkeeping/accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Capturing and processing invoices.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Petty cash management.
  • Payroll preparation support.
  • Maintaining ledgers and preparing trial balance.
  • Assisting with VAT and PAYE.
  • Filing and record-keeping.
  • Prepare financial reports.

Skills

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
Attention to detail and accuracy

Education

Job description

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports.

Basic Requirements
  • Education & Experience:

    • A bookkeeping or accounting certificate/diploma (NQF Level 4/5) required.
    • 1–2 years bookkeeping or accounting experience (can include internship/clerical work).
    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Pastel).

    • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
