Job Title : Bookkeeper (Remote Full-Time)

We are a fast-growing venture-backed startup seeking a skilled and hands-on Bookkeeper to lead our accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and scale systems to support our rapid growth. This role requires deep expertise in inventory accounting, a strong command of QuickBooks and Fishbowl, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead monthly close processes, audits, and financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations and cash flow tracking
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, payroll, and fixed asset accounting
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Supervise and support a small team of 13 bookkeepers/data entry staff
  • Partner with leadership on KPI tracking and building reliable financial dashboards
  • Play a key role in integrating financial operations during M&A activities

Requirements :

  • At least 3 years of accounting management experience, ideally within a startup
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, costing methods, and COGS
  • Expertise in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop
  • Proficient in Fishbowl Inventory or similar inventory accounting software
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Comfortable using multiple tools and systems (Slack, Google Drive, email, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy self-starter who takes initiative and drives solutions
  • Experience with system integrations and financial dashboards (e.g., Reach Reporting)

Nice-to-Have :

  • Familiarity with Shopify, Wix, SquareUp, and Paylocity
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and tax reporting
