About the Role:

Are you a numbers ninja with a passion for precision and a talent for transforming chaos into clarity? We're seeking a Bookkeeper to join our fast-paced national retail merchandising company in Johannesburg North!

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in keeping our financial engine running smoothly while working in a vibrant, collaborative environment.

Position:

Permanent, Office-Based (3-Month Probationary Period)

Start Date:

10 April

Your Mission (Responsibilities):

1. Craft flawless quotations and proforma invoices, ensuring all customer requests and additional charges are accurately captured.
2. Collaborate with Supervisors and GMs to update proforma details (e.g., public holiday rates, event resource allocation).
3. Consolidate and classify revenue by region, maintaining impeccable data accuracy.
4. Generate and dispatch invoices/statements like a pro, keeping cash flow buoyant via rigorous Invoice Tracker management.
5. Optimize billing efficiency—spot trends, fix gaps, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
6. Master the books up to trial balance, execute month-end journals, and prepare critical reports (payroll vs. invoicing, audit support).
7. Liaise with merchandisers to align headcount with customer needs and ensure SLA compliance.

What We're Looking For (Requirements):

1. Diploma / Degree in Accounting (Non-negotiable!)
2. 3+ years' experience in accounting, with a track record of accuracy under pressure.
3. Superhuman Organizational Skills: Juggle deadlines, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a high-stakes environment.
4. Communication Guru: Crystal-clear verbal/written skills for liaising with teams and clients.
5. Knowledge of HR / Payroll and Basic Conditions of Employment Act is a must.

Basic Salary:

ZAR 30,000.00 per month.
