Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers using [insert accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage].
- Post journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and maintain the trial balance, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Monitor and track financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
- Perform reconciliations of control accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with VAT / GST returns, payroll processing, and other statutory requirements as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and the trial balance process.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel.
- Solid knowledge of financial regulations and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Preferred] Relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping (e.g., AAT, ICB, or equivalent).

- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax submissions.
