We're looking for a reliable and experienced bookkeeper to help manage our day-to-day financials and keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers using [insert accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage].
  • Post journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and maintain the trial balance, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Monitor and track financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
  • Perform reconciliations of control accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with VAT / GST returns, payroll processing, and other statutory requirements as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and the trial balance process.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of financial regulations and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Preferred] Relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping (e.g., AAT, ICB, or equivalent).
