Job description
Requirements :
- 5-10 years experience in the same or similar role
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Qualification in Accounting advantageous
- Proficient in advanced Excel
- Experience in Sage is advantageous
- Experience with exchange rates, international transactions, and forex
Duties :
- Preparing daily and weekly Sales Reports
- Conducting weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Sending daily bank deposit information to the Credit Controller
- Managing the cashbook
- Performing manual matching
- Entering Creditors' invoices
- Preparing Creditor reconciliations
- Managing management accounts
- Processing payments
- Recording personal expenses journals on a weekly basis
- Capturing monthly petty cash transactions
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and processing depreciation journals
- Handling stock adjustments
- Analyzing expense variances
- Supporting the Financial Director (FD) and Financial Controller with various schedules for the financial year-end and annual budget preparations
- Performing some General Ledger (GL) reconciliations
- Understanding the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and Purchase Invoice procedures
- Familiarity with rebate calculations
- Assisting with any other administrative tasks
- Assisting with quarterly stock takes
- Performing any other tasks assigned by the employer as directed from time to time
