Job Description

A renowned and dynamic restaurant franchise is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive on-site Bookkeeper to join their fast-paced accounting department for a 6-month fixed-term contract.

You'll play a key role in handling financial records, processing transactions, reconciliations, reports, and providing support to other members of the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Transaction Processing: Process sales, expenses, journals, and other financial documents in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. Reconciliation: Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  4. Reporting: Prepare reconciliations and financial reports, summaries, and other documents as required by management.
  5. Support: Provide support to the accounting team by performing administrative tasks.
  6. Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any financial queries or issues.
  7. Assistance: Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned.
  8. Assurance: Assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements:
  1. Qualification in Accounting or Finance would be preferred.
  2. 4+ years' experience in a Bookkeeper or similar function.
  3. Proficiency in Accounting software (in particular Sage Evolution and Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling financial data.
  5. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
