Job description

Our client, a consulting company specializing in engineering services, is seeking a well-experienced Bookkeeper with over 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should have comprehensive experience in full bookkeeping to trial balance, including processing and invoicing, debtors, creditors, reconciliations, journals, and supplier management. Additionally, the candidate should be able to assist with quotes and perform other ad hoc administrative tasks.

Salary is negotiable.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Matric qualification
  2. At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  3. Proficiency in full debtors and creditors management, preferably using Pastel software
  4. Experience working in project-based environments such as engineering, construction, or technical fields is an added advantage
  5. General office administration and recordkeeping skills
  6. Experience with VAT calculation and submission
Job Responsibilities
  1. Bookkeeping up to trial balance and processing invoices using Pastel
  2. Supporting project bookkeeping, including procurement and costings
  3. Capturing invoices from customers and suppliers
  4. Managing full debtors and creditors control
  5. Performing bank reconciliations and petty cash control
  6. Ensuring financial control related to costs
  7. Liaising with suppliers and customers
  8. Providing general office administration support, such as filing and recordkeeping
  9. Loading supplier invoices for payment processing
  10. Assisting with inventory and stock control
  11. Supporting stock ordering, both locally and internationally
