Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Executor Bonds team as Administrator. This position is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a legal or paralegal background and a passion for service excellence to contribute to the administration of deceased estates.

The role involves managing the lifecycle of bonds of security issued to the Master of the High Court, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.

Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to oversee the end-to-end process of issuing and managing executor bonds on behalf of legal practitioners appointed to administer deceased estates. The role ensures that all activities are conducted in alignment with legal frameworks, internal policies, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and capture new applications for executor bonds within defined timeframes.
  • Monitor and manage each bond through its full lifecycle, ensuring timely follow-ups and status updates.
  • Liaise with legal firms and executors to collect outstanding documents and maintain workflow momentum.
  • Maintain thorough and organized records of all bond-related documentation and correspondence.
  • Resolve queries efficiently while upholding professional communication standards.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of relevant estate administration legislation and internal policy guidelines.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth processing and exceptional service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12/ Matric
Paralegal or Legal qualification (Mandatory)
At least 2 years’ experience of Administration of deceased estates experience (Mandatory)
Insurance industry background: added advantage
