Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a skilled fabricator to read engineering drawings, fabricate and assemble steel structures, tanks, platforms and other components, ensuring precise dimensions.

You will measure, cut and fit metal, operate guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders and drills, perform tack welding, and repair existing structures while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures, frames, tanks, platforms, and other fabricated components.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fit steel and other metal materials.
• Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, rollers, grinders, drills, and cutting equipment.
• Perform tack welding where required to facilitate fabrication.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
• Repair and modify existing steel structures and equipment.
• Assemble components accurately before final welding.
