Placements24 in Richards Bay invites applicants to a hands-on boilermaker apprenticeship. Trainees will learn to fabricate, assemble, install and repair boilers and large metal structures under seasoned boilermakers, gaining practical skills in welding, cutting and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with maths/technical drawing.
• Interest in metal fabrication and welding.
• Good physical stamina; able to work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fabricating, fitting, and welding components for boilers, tanks and pressure vessels.
• Learn to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, and grinders.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on large metal structures and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Participate in training sessions related to boilermaking.
