A leading manufacturer in the packaging industry is seeking an experienced Utilities Technician to operate and maintain essential utility systems, ensuring smooth production and compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have a valid Boiler Operator Certificate and 2-3 years' experience in a relevant field. Strong knowledge of thermic fluid heating systems and the ability to perform mechanical fault diagnosis are necessary for this role.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years’ experience in utility operations, preferably in flexible packaging or chemical processing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of oil-based thermic heating systems, steam systems, and compressed air operations.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID diagrams and perform first-line mechanical fault diagnosis.

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Are you an experienced Utilities Technician with hands-on expertise in thermic fluid heaters, boilers, and compressor systems? Join a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry, where your knowledge of utility systems ensures smooth production and equipment efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain utility systems including thermic fluid heaters (oil-based), steam boilers, air compressors, chillers, and drying units.
  • Monitor thermic fluid system parameters (temperature, pressure, flow); conduct inspections and fluid top-ups.
  • Perform routine maintenance on pressure vessels, valves, burners, and interlock systems in line with OEM standards.
  • Ensure uninterrupted utility supply (heat, air, water) to production areas across all shifts.
  • Maintain operational logs, identify system abnormalities, and assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure strict adherence to OHSA, Pressure Equipment Regulations, and environmental compliance for thermal systems.

Requirements:

  • Valid Boiler Operator or Thermic Fluid Heater Operator Certificate (per local legal requirements).
