Job summary

Pro Talent in Johannesburg is seeking a Body Corporate Claims Handler to manage body corporate and commercial short-term insurance claims from inception to finalisation. You will liaise with clients, insurers, brokers, assessors, loss adjusters, and service providers to ensure timely, accurate processing of claims.

The role requires strong knowledge of insurance products, policy wordings, and claims processes, with a preference for candidates with brokerage experience and relevant qualifications

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Short-Term Insurance Claims Handling.
• Strong Body Corporate claims experience.
• Excellent knowledge of insurance products, policy wordings, and claims processes.
• Brokerage experience preferred.
• NQF4 short term insurance and RE5

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer body corporate and commercial short-term insurance claims from inception to finalisation.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, brokers, assessors, loss adjusters, and service providers.
• Ensure all claims are processed accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding claim progress and outcomes.
• Review policy terms and conditions and apply them appropriately to claims.
• Accurately capture, update, and maintain all claims information and supporting documentation.
• Follow up on outstanding documentation, reports, repairs, recoveries, and settlements.
• Generate reports and provide feedback to management when required.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS, FSCA, POPIA, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), and Fit & Proper requirements.
