Job summary

Qualifications

• Perform Blood Bank technical procedures, including patient sample testing, preparation, and issuing of blood products.
• Check and reconcile patient information against the request form and issued documents to ensure the correct product is issued.
• Coordinate processes with reference to communication, checks, queries, document control, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blood Bank technical procedures, which include patient sample testing, preparation, and issuing of blood products according to Work Instructions;
• Check and reconcile patient information provided against the request form, prepared product, computer data, and issue documents to ensure that the correct product is issued to the correct patient;
• Co-ordinate processes with reference to communication, checks, queries, document control, and record keeping.
