Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Regional Sanitation Operations Coordinator based in Bloemfontein, Free State. The role oversees sanitation teams, coordinates site activities, manages inventories, and ensures hygiene standards across multiple client sites in the region.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities management, strong organizational and communication skills, and a hands-on approach with on-site presence. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory/coordination experience in cleaning/sanitation/facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including email and MS Office.
• Based in Bloemfontein, willing to relocate and travel regionally.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for regional travel.
• Experience in inventory management is advantageous.
• Commitment to high cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily activities for sanitation teams across multiple sites within the region.
• Ensure all sites are stocked with cleaning supplies, equipment, and PPE.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor cleaning quality, safety compliance, and team performance.
• Act as the primary contact for site supervisors and cleaning staff regarding operational matters.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new sanitation team members.
• Manage and maintain records related to inventory, staff attendance, and operational activities.
• Report on operational status, challenges, and achievements to the Regional Operations Manager.
• Respond to urgent operational needs and assist in resolving on-site issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
