Job summary

The Shoprite Group of Companies is seeking a Blockman/Senior Meat Technician for our Pretoria operations. The role involves cutting carcasses and various meat cuts, sausage production, and assisting with stock takes while ensuring company standards are maintained.

Candidates should have Grade 12 or equivalent, and prior meat processing experience with machinery competency. This is a full-time on-site position within a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
• Previous meat processing experience.
• Machinery competent.

Responsibilities

• Cutting of carcasses and primal cuts (carcass, beef forequarter, beef hindquarter, lamb and pork).
• Sausage production.
• Assisting with stock takes and receiving stock.
• Uphold and maintain company standards.
