Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with blockchain or cryptocurrency data analysis.
• Proficient in Python or R and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and big data platforms (Spark).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts, transaction structures, and on-chain analytics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large, complex datasets from various blockchain networks.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze blockchain transactions, user behavior, and market trends.
• Identify KPIs and create dashboards and reports to visualize data insights.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate data-driven insights into product development and strategic planning.
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of blockchain strategies.
• Perform predictive modeling to forecast market movements, user adoption, and network growth.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
