Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Biostatistician to join our Kimberley-based R&D team. You will design, analyze, and interpret clinical trials, applying advanced statistical methods to ensure robust conclusions for drug development and regulatory submissions.

You will collaborate with researchers and clinicians to communicate findings, prepare CSRs and manuscripts, and contribute to methodological standards while ensuring regulatory compliance and data quality.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of Biostatistics experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proficiency in SAS (required) and R; strong clinical trial design knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design clinical trial protocols, sample size calculations, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).

• Prepare statistical sections of clinical study reports (CSRs), regulatory submission documents, and manuscripts for publication.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of statistical methodologies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, SAHPRA) and data quality standards.

Requirements
