Qualifications

  • 7-10 years’ experience in BIM and digital delivery within engineering consulting or EPCM environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and BIM implementation in mining or industrial projects.
  • Experience with point cloud processing, digital twins, and data integration platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of project BIM Execution and Digital Engineering Strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate federated BIM models ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Provide training and support for engineers in BIM tools.

About the Position:

We are seeking a Digital Engineering Lead /BIM Manager to drive innovation and digital transformation across our mining and infrastructure projects. This role will champion Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twin implementation, and data-driven engineering to enhance project outcomes and client value.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • BSc/BEng Engineering is a minimum requirement
  • PR. Eng Preferable

Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience in BIM and digital delivery within engineering consulting or EPCM environment.

  • Expertise in Autodesk AEC software suite and related tools, including Revit.
  • Experience with point cloud processing, digital twins, and data integration platforms.

  • Highly proficient working with Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs/BIM360).
  • Highly proficient in Navisworks workflows.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multidisciplinary design interfaces.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of project BIM Execution and Digital Engineering Strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate federated BIM models across disciplines, ensuring quality, interoperability, and compliance across engineering disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain digital twin frameworks for mining infrastructure assets.
  • Integrate point cloud scanning, generative design, and data-rich modelling into project workflows.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and support for engineers and technicians in BIM tools (Autodesk AEC Collection, Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Dynamo, etc.).
  • Oversee model reviews, clash detection, and design coordination.
  • Liaise with clients to define digital deliverables, asset information requirements (AIRs), and handover protocols.
  • Drive innovation by piloting new digital tools, workflows, and AI/automation applications in design.
  • Contribute to digital standards and knowledge management across the business.
  • Manage the resources in the BIM office in terms of skills, training, development, and work load on projects.
