Overview

Seeking a new career challenge? Woolpert is hiring! Join our dynamic BIM Management team as a BIM Coordinator at our Johannesburg, South Africa office. This role reports to the Discipline Leader and supports project teams working on mission-critical industrial and civic projects. Qualified candidates should be familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup, ACC Template Management, Build). Coding skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

1. Advocate for BIM best practices, ensuring adherence to Project BIM Plans and standards.
2. Review BIM files for consistency and accuracy, propose model adjustments, and coordinate with team members for implementation.
3. Utilize collaborative tools such as Autodesk Cloud Services, Revit, Rhino, and other technologies to promote multidisciplinary coordination in a BIM-centric environment.
4. Provide coaching and guidance on BIM implementation and applications.
5. Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on BIM modeling strategies, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery protocols.
6. Collaborate with project managers and technicians to complete project tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Architectural Degree / Honours / Masters or Professional Architectural Technologist National Diploma or BTech.
• At least 2 years of BIM experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Understanding of Revit Family creation.
• Advanced Revit troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup, ACC Template Management, Build).
• Knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and other software.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with Revit Add-ins (Ideate, Avail, Guardian, PyRevit, Enscape) is a plus.
• Coding skills are advantageous for advanced projects, but not required.
