Job summary

Xcede Group is seeking an experienced BI Full Stack Developer/Engineer to join a fintech-focused client team in Cape Town. You will design and build end-to-end BI solutions, develop data pipelines and data models, and implement ETL processes that scale for data-driven decision-making.

The role requires 3–8 years of BI/full-stack experience, strong SQL skills, and hands-on work with Hadoop technologies, data warehousing, and data visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR National Diploma in IT-related discipline.
• 3–8 years of experience as a BI Full Stack Developer/Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies and development.
• Solid understanding of data architecture principles and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem and related technologies (HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or related languages.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
