Job summary

South African Postbank SOC Limited is seeking a Data Analyst to contribute to MIS dashboards and reports by analysing complex data in line with company rules. You will support data requirements, BI tools adoption, and governance across projects in a banking environment.

The role focuses on delivering validated analytics, developing reports with stakeholders, and ensuring data quality while aligning with POPIA and FSCA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Data Science or related field (NQF Level 7).
• Advanced degree or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and improvement of data and analytics-related processes and operational plans.
• Provide input into data requirements and model-design specifications for operational efficiency.
• Stay abreast of BI tools, trends, and new visualization technologies for ongoing innovation.
• Collaborate with BI specialists to integrate analytical outputs into reporting deliverables.
• Develop, maintain and enhance MIS reports, dashboards and outputs with stakeholders.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends, anomalies and performance insights for decision-making.
• Review data to ensure integrity and quality; escalate and propose corrective actions with Senior BI Specialist approval.
• Support integration and monitor performance of reporting solutions; identify and address risks with Senior Specialist approval.
• Prepare and present analytical findings and visual outputs in business-relevant formats.
• Recommend improvements to reporting efficiency, data presentation and accessibility.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a relevant field (NQF Level 7)

Advanced degree or MBA preferred
