Position: BI Data Analyst

Job Purpose: To manage a team of technical subject matter experts and team leaders in support of stated objectives and to deliver frontline team results through enabling others.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Achieve client satisfaction objectives in support of strengthened business IT collaboration.
  2. Build sound professional relationships by understanding and consistently meeting client needs in support of improved delivery capabilities.
  3. Deliver results in support of increased delivery capacity.
  4. Ensure proper financing of the function and manage budget for cost centre.
  5. Provide a flexible, low-cost IT operating platform.
  6. Ensure self and team improve efficiency and productivity month on month in line with departmental strategic plans.
  7. Ensure transformational targets are met.
  8. Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in the recruitment and selection of senior staff.
  9. Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.
  10. Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.
  11. Deliver a world-class service by ensuring a client-centric culture.
  12. Achieve operational excellence and support the implementation of business optimisation improvement.
  13. Add value to the business by encouraging team to generate innovative ideas and by sharing knowledge.
  14. Achieve business performance targets within required risk and compliance parameters.
  15. Support improved delivery capacity and capabilities.
  16. Ensure the effective and efficient implementation and operation of area in support of standardised delivery processes.
  17. Meet all agreed risk and compliance targets and manage performance of staff.
  18. Mentor and coach staff on identified performance gaps.
  19. Create an environment of teamwork and encourage participation in decision-making processes.
  20. Identify talent pool through conducting career conversations and developing talent retention programmes.
  21. Manage the onboarding process of new employees.

Minimum Experience Level

  1. 8 years IT Operations Experience and 5-7 years Job relevant experience
  2. 5 years Business Analysis Experience
  3. 5 years+ RRB, Consumer and Commercial banking Analysis Experience
  4. 5 years Data Analysis Experience
  5. 5 years PowerBI Experience
  6. 2 years Jira Experience
  7. 5 years+ Data Analysis experience, including Data Modelling

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  1. Diploma

Preferred Qualification

  1. Degree in Information Technology or Business Management, Mathematical / Statistics

  1. PowerBI Certifications
  2. Business Analysis Certification

Technical / Professional Knowledge

  1. Administrative procedures and systems
  2. Banking knowledge
  3. Banking procedures
  4. Business principles
  5. Data analysis
  6. Governance, Risk and Controls
  7. Microsoft Office
  8. Relevant regulatory knowledge
  9. Relevant software and systems knowledge
  10. Business writing skills
