Job summary

Parvana is seeking a BI-focused professional in Cape Town to design, build and maintain interactive dashboards for investment, risk and operations teams.

You will track portfolio performance and automate reporting, while collaborating with IT/engineering to ensure data accuracy and efficient pipelines. Strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, and Excel (Power Query/VBA) skills are required; Snowflake experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL capabilities.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

• Designing, building, and maintaining interactive BI dashboards and reports for investment, risk, and operations teams.
• Tracking portfolio performance, cash flows, and credit risk metrics via data-driven insights.
• Improving reporting speed, accuracy, and transparency by automating recurring processes.
• Maintaining data accuracy while partnering with IT/engineering to optimize pipelines and working with investment professionals to turn requirements into technical solutions.
• Conducting specific analyses to address investment, market, and performance questions.

What our client is looking for:

• Advanced skills in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik), strong SQL capabilities, data modeling expertise, ETL workflow experience, and advanced Excel skills (including Power Query/VBA).
• Experience with Snowflake is considered an advantage.
• An analytical, detail-oriented self-starter who can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
