Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking an Assistant Operator – Beverages Packaging to support the packaging team and temporarily fill in for absent staff. You will help ensure smooth production, quality, and safety across packaging lines during shifts with limited staff.

Responsibilities include operating packaging machinery, loading materials, and coordinating with team to meet daily targets, while adhering to SOPs and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred.
• Ability to operate basic machinery and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Willingness to work across shifts.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor beverage packaging machinery (bottling, labeling, sealing, palletizing).
• Ensure packaging materials are available and loaded correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area.
• Perform routine checks to ensure packaging quality meets specs.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow SOPs and health, safety, and food safety regs.
• Assist in inventory control of packaging materials as needed.
• Support across different packaging lines as required.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production targets.
