Job summary

Tiger Brands in South Africa seeks a Reliever – Beverages Packaging to provide temporary support to the packaging team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality and safety standards during shifts when regular staff are unavailable.

You will operate packaging machinery, load materials, maintain cleanliness, perform routine quality checks, and collaborate with colleagues to meet daily production targets while complying with SOPs and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred.
• Ability to operate basic machinery and follow technical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts and packaging lines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit to handle repetitive tasks and moderate lifting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor beverage packaging machinery (bottling, labeling, sealing, and palletizing).
• Ensure packaging materials (bottles, cans, labels, cartons) are available and properly loaded.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area in compliance with hygiene standards.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure packaging quality meets company specifications.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory control of packaging materials when required.
• Provide support across different packaging lines depending on operational needs.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
