Job summary

A leading company in the cruise industry is seeking a Beverage Manager to oversee and enhance beverage operations onboard. You will supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Ideal candidates will have considerable experience in beverage management and exceptional leadership skills, along with a passion for providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or luxury hotel setting.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage the daily operations of all bars, lounges, and other beverage outlets onboard the cruise ship

- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

- Train and develop beverage staff to ensure exceptional service standards are met

- Create and implement beverage menus and promotions

- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all beverage equipment and facilities

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

- Handle any guest complaints or issues related to beverage service

- Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and housekeeping, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction

- Conduct regular inventory audits and report any discrepancies to management

- Monitor and control beverage costs to meet budget targets

- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new beverage staff

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or luxury hotel setting

- Strong knowledge of beverage operations, including wines, spirits, and cocktails

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal

- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field is an asset
