Profile Personnel Ltd is seeking a hands-on Beverage Manager for a premium hospitality venue in South Africa. You will lead the bar and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while controlling costs and stock.

You will plan beverage requirements for weddings, conferences and events, and manage a skilled team to deliver seamless service. Responsibilities include stock control, supplier liaison, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Beverage Manager or similar hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of beverage operations and stock management.
• Experience planning for functions and events.
• Demonstrated leadership and team motivation.
• Understanding of beverage costing, wastage and stock control.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and guest service commitment.
• Hands-on leadership in busy environments.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar and beverage operations ensuring service quality.
• Manage purchasing, stock levels, ordering, receiving, storage and rotation.
• Conduct regular stock takes and investigate variances.
• Monitor beverage costs and maintain profit margins.
• Ensure bar is stocked and ready for daily service and events.
• Plan beverage requirements for weddings and other events.
• Ensure sufficient stock, equipment and staff for events.
• Lead, motivate and schedule the beverage team.
• Collaborate with Events, Kitchen and FOH for seamless service.
• Liaise with suppliers on orders and pricing.
• Maintain purchasing records and beverage-related administration.
• Maintain beverage equipment and address operational needs.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service and safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
