Position: Betting Clerk - Dunoon, Western Cape

We are looking for a Betting Clerk responsible for managing branch operations, including customer bets, cash handling, payouts, customer service, and compliance.

Candidate Requirements:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the Gaming industry.
Preferred Extras:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Related Diploma/Degree.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Branch Growth: Update betting boards, memos, card changes, results, and scratchings promptly. Know betting rules, odds, and payouts. Communicate with team leaders about large bets and confirmation limits.
  2. Sales Administration: Manage cash according to procedures, minimize risks, and prevent theft or fraud.
  3. Cash Management: Ensure accurate float at shift start, conduct interim checks, and report shortages or overs on the same day.
  4. Branch Appearance: Maintain a neat, tidy branch and functional workstations. Report equipment issues promptly.
  5. Customer Service: Provide friendly, helpful service, address complaints proactively, and build customer relationships.
  6. Compliance: Follow internal policies, ethics, dress code, and betting restrictions. Report fraudulent activities and equipment malfunctions.
  7. Values: Promote and exemplify Hollywood values.
