Role Purpose

The key purpose of this role is to carry out beer process development work for projects (scoping, costing, and design) and provide ongoing design management support to the implementation team as required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development of projects ensuring business requirements are met and support ABInBev's strategic priorities.
  2. Plan, organize, oversee, and coordinate engineering and design work for projects.
  3. Understand and implement all design, technical specifications, and engineering requirements from concept to detailed design (FEP 0 to FEP 3).
  4. Provide high-level process scopes and budgets for planning purposes.
  5. Review existing brewery installations, recommend modernization to optimize safety, maintenance, and energy usage.
  6. Review market solutions for equipment and implement them when justified.
  7. Ensure FEP3 designs are implemented according to standards, document significant changes, and support project execution.
  8. Review and approve beer process specifications for OEM equipment.
  9. Participate in supplier adjudications to ensure operational performance, safety, and usage standards.
  10. Support detailed process integration during project implementation.
  11. Review and optimize plant layouts for cost-effective installation and operation.
  12. Participate in FATs, Hazops, SATs, and quality assurance interventions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or Brewing/Beverage Science.
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of beverage process design experience.
  • Experience with process, mechanical, electrical, automation, civil engineering in projects over $20m.
  • Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., PMBOK).
  • Experience in plant operations and optimization.
  • Understanding of best-in-class process solutions and contractor bid evaluation.
  • Experience in FMCG industry.
