BCom Corporate Credit Analyst, Internation Financial Services Group, Cape Town – Southern suburbs, South Africa
POSITION INFO :
Our client, a renowned Internation Financial Services Group providing specialised financial solutions and advisory services to businesses and high net worth individuals in South Africa is URGENTLY seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Corporate Credit Analyst to be based in their Cape Town – Southern suburbs Offices.
PLEASE NOTE :
A Benchmarked CTC Salary of R25K – R35K per month is on offer.
KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS :
- At minimum a BCom degree with Finance and / or Mathematics, Accounting as a subject(s)
- A post-graduate degree qualification will be a distinct advantage.
- At least 4 years working knowledge of credit risk management, within the commercial / corporate sector is ESSENTIAL.
- Familiar with National Credit Act ESSENTIAL.
- Must have a Clean Credit Record
- Possess an unendorsed Driver’s License (Code 08)
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deal management and preparation, deal execution and presentation, post deal implementation and overall input towards credit projects, personal development, as well as client visits where needed.
- Reviewing financial statements to assess the company’s financial health, profitability, liquidity, and leverage.
- Understanding the industry dynamics and market trends relevant to the client’s business is essential, adding value to credit committee presentations and discussions.
- Ensure that credit decisions adhere to the company’s credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Based on the analysis, credit analysts make recommendations regarding credit limits, terms, and conditions for extending credit to corporate clients.
- Conducting thorough due diligence on potential clients is essential to assess their creditworthiness accurately. This may involve reviewing legal documents, conducting site visits, and obtaining information from third-party sources.
- Supporting legal approval and implementation of credit requirements.
- Articulating the risk implications of change requests related to previously approved transactions.
