POSITION INFO :
Our client, a renowned International Financial Services Group providing specialised financial solutions and advisory services to businesses and high net worth individuals in South Africa, is URGENTLY seeking to appoint a suitably qualified BCom Accountant based in their Cape Town CBD Offices.
PLEASE NOTE :
- A benchmarked CTC salary of R25K – R35K per month is offered.
KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum BCom degree with Finance and/or Mathematics, Accounting as subjects.
- A post-graduate qualification is a distinct advantage.
- At least 4 years of working knowledge in credit risk management within the commercial/corporate sector is ESSENTIAL.
- Familiarity with the National Credit Act is ESSENTIAL.
- Must have a Clean Credit Record.
- Possess an unendorsed Driver’s License (Code 08).
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deal management, preparation, execution, presentation, post-deal implementation, and input towards credit projects, including client visits when necessary.
- Reviewing financial statements to assess financial health, profitability, liquidity, and leverage of companies.
- Understanding industry dynamics and market trends relevant to clients’ businesses to add value to credit committee discussions.
- Ensuring credit decisions comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Making recommendations on credit limits, terms, and conditions for corporate clients based on analysis.
- Conducting thorough due diligence on potential clients to assess creditworthiness, including reviewing legal documents, site visits, and third-party information.
- Supporting legal approval and implementation of credit requirements.
- Articulating risk implications of change requests related to previously approved transactions.
- Undertaking additional tasks as necessary to fulfill role requirements.
