This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing battery systems to enhance solar energy storage and utilization. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to drive forward theirsolar energy solutions, ensuring they are both cutting-edge and reliable.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test advanced battery systems and components for solar energy applications.
• Optimize battery performance, including capacity, efficiency, and lifespan, in conjunction with solar energy systems.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery technologies and solar energy integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery solutions into solar energy products and systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot battery system issues, providing solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for battery safety and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in battery technology, with a strong focus on applications in the solar energy sector.
• Proven track record of designing and optimizing battery systems for energy storage solutions.
• Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and energy management strategies.

Package & Remuneration

R450 000 CTC to R620 000 CTC per annum based one experience and qualifications
