Director at Jalusi _ Tech | MBA, Business Administration and Management

Purpose of the Position:

To schedule, procure, and coordinate all activities related to Base Oil expediting processes, ensuring production plans are met. The role also involves managing the receipt of all company and imported base oils, maintaining OTIF standards, and supporting manufacturing to meet production demands efficiently. Develop internal customer relationships and utilize IT systems to enhance activity results.

Responsibilities:

  1. Calculate receipts of all base oils and Customs P201s.
  2. Monitor and report daily inward and outward movements of base oils.
  3. Plan sequence rundown and tank changeovers with minimal disruption.
  4. Identify potential stock outs and overflows, alert marketers.
  5. Manage base oil imports and storage logistics.
  6. Coordinate with scheduling, customs, surveyors, and external storage providers.
  7. Represent in mock drills with TNPA and OOC.
  8. Reconcile product movements, imports, and exports.
  9. Coordinate export documentation and lodging of L.O. Ps.
  10. Organize pre- and post-arrival meetings, record minutes.
  11. Investigate discrepancies and implement improvements.
  12. Prepare customs and import/export documentation.
  13. Optimize base oil and tank usage.
  14. Schedule tanks for inspection and maintenance.
  15. Compile T.O.P.S reports and conduct quarterly TNPA meetings.
  16. Maintain up-to-date procedures and work instructions.
  17. Forecast base oil needs and prepare schedules.
  18. Conduct weekly cycle counts, analyze variances, and report.
  19. Lead weekly Base Oil Forum meetings, assess risks, and propose improvements.
  20. Accountable for plan deviations, data accuracy, and stock variances.
  21. Ensure process improvements and report generation.
  22. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  23. Authorize temporary process changes for trials.
  24. Manage payments following approval thresholds.
  25. Align plant capacity with shareholder demands.
  26. Achieve OTIF >90% and PSA >98%, optimize costs.
  27. Participate in S&OP processes, translating demand into production plans.
  28. Implement HSSE and quality standards, conduct audits, and incident investigations.
  29. Review and improve processes regularly.
  30. Maintain strong communication with marketers to meet their needs.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Business.
  • Ship 2 Shore Operations certification, Shore Officer qualifications.
  • Certification from SAPICS or APICS in Production Planning.
  • 2-3 years in a manufacturing planning role.
  • Knowledge of petroleum custody transfer measurement.
  • Stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Negotiation and motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure.
  • Partnering and influencing skills.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain.
  • Problem-solving tools knowledge (5WHY, Fishbone, FFA).
